Illustrated recipes


The members of the Art Club Portugal come together once a week to paint, to learn and to lunch. We lunch Portuguese style with lots of fresh ingredients of the season. The idea of a recipe book combined with art work was born.

In the near future we plan to publish a cookbook with authentic Portuguese recipes and lots of illustrations in full color made by the members of the Art Club Portugal.

For the time being you can find the recipes and illustrations on this site.

Goat loves grapes/o cabrito goste as uvas

Cabrito assado
Roasted goat

Ingredients
2 kg goat in parts
2 cloves of garlic
1 bay leave
2 sliced onions
2 sliced carrots
1 l red wine
200 ml olive oil
8 potatoes, peeled and quartered or 16 new potatoes
1tbsp coarse sea salt
pepper

Preparation
Crush the carlic cloves, pepercorns and bay leaf, add the salt and olive oil and rub the parts of goat with this mixture.
Place the goat parts in a deep ovenproof pot, place all the ingredients around and pour the wine over it.
Place in a medium oven (180 degrees) and
cook untill done. (about 2,5 hours.
